About the Project
What is the need?
Every year the orphanages in Moldova close the doors to countless 8th and 9th grade girls, at the fragile age of just 14 and 15.
Others are from vulnerable and poor families who can't afford an education.
They are left on the streets to take care of themselves, many of them falling prey to sex/human traffickers. This is one of the reason Moldova is ranked #1 in sex/human trafficking in all of Europe.
That's why we decided to create a safe environment for these girls to grow and be helped, mentally, psychologically and spiritually. We want this home to be a shelter for them!
We would like to emphasize the importance of this project and the
positive impact it will have on our community. We recognize that we need your partnership and support to ensure that the construction process is a success.
How can you help?
We are currently in need of :
- Team coming out to Moldova and helping with landscape.
-Materials for landscape
-New or slightly used furniture
-Bed frames (at least 4 or more)
-Outside landscaping
-Vegetable garden
-Chicken coop
-New front fence with door, the one we have is temporary made from extra roof materials.
-New front fence….(estimated $7,000)
-Retaining concrete wall…(estimated $15,000)
At the moment we are
working on
-Pavement around the foundation of the house. ($3,600)
-Water resistant protective layer around the foundation and walls of basement rooms including insulation of walls. ($3,000)
This winter
we still need
-Wood for fire (Est. costs $3,500 for all of Winter)
-Monthly support for utilities, staff salaries, winter coats and shoes, medical exams and treatments
(Est. cost $5,000 monthly)
-A retaining wall we need to build (Estimated at $15,000)
-Laundry shelves and cabinets (estimated $5,000)
-Final painting and finish on the outside of house walls…(estimated $20,000)
Not urgently but In the future
we still need
-Change the temporary fence in front.
-Finish the outside insulation
(one more layer and painting is needed)
-Begin landscaping
-Chicken coop
-Vegetable garden
